DESCRIPTION: Crustose. The greyish-green surface is marked with black stellate areas that can be quite numerous and are up to 1 to 2cm in diameter. DISTRIBUTION: Widespread and common especially in North-West Britain. HABITAT: Found on the bark of a variety of deciduous trees particularly Ash.
